Should ChatGPT be liable for a teenagers suicide?

I believe they should. It is no different than a medical professional who provides advice or care that falls outside of the standard of care and is negligent. ChatGPT (OpenAI, essentially) gave advice it shouldn't have given. Not only was it wrong to give such advice, but the advice was flawed and proximately caused the teen's decision to die by suicide.
