You need a lawyer...to got to court
The prevalence of self-help legal services have led many to believe they don't need lawyers...to go to court. While this is sometimes true in that the amount in question is not worth hiring a lawyer, I'm amazed how non-lawyers go to court and expect to defeat seasoned lawyers. It may happen, but it's unlikely. And you can tell when pro se litigants walk in the courtroom that they are going to lose. Like this guy who came to court today in the video described below. He never stood a chance because he screwed up his claim (which wasn't a good one anyways) procedurally. Specifically, he filed in the wrong court, which procedurally barred (bars) his claim.
