Why are black people being lynched in North Carolina and other states?

I can't believe I have to say this, but I think it is safe to say: BLACK PEOPLE DON'T HANG FROM TREES BY CHOICE. When this happens (and it has been happening a lot over the past few years in North Carolina and other states), the person was likely lynched. Here are some of the states it's happened in since 2024: North Carolina, Alabama, New York, Mississippi, Wisconsin, Georgia, Florida, and Michigan.
